Juel's favorite things at the cabin were these deer statues. She thought they were "hee hees' (horses) and wanted to ride them constantly!
Tyson's favorite thing was,well...yep-he may hate me later, but this was just too cute!
Everyone loved the hot tub!
Pigeon Forge is a lot like Myrtle Beach...way crowded and full of "tourist" attractions. While this is not my favorite way to relax on vacation, we decided to embrace the fun. From the moment we arrived Tyson wanted to ride the "flying pigs," which were actually not a ride, so we took them to "Kids Adventure" where fun was had by all:
We also ventured to The Bass Pro Shop to reward the weekend hero. It was perfect because they were having a kid's program that T and J loved.
We also enjoyed shopping at the outlets after a nice post-wedding meal at The Chop House.
AND I will admit that we had a ball at "The Dixie Stampede"--yes Leigh Ann, I can't believe we have returned to this historical marvel, but I must say no one has ever loved a show more than Tyson did this! He was the happiest kid you have ever seen. Juel LOVES horses, so she also had a blast. And, typical of the tourist daddy, Travis bought her a stuffed "hee hee" upon seeing her pretend to walk it across the gift shop floor and then hug it with all of her might. He is wrapped around her tiny finger....
In addition, Tyson is in love with Dolly Parton--and not for the typical "man" reason. Dolly believes that every child should grow up in a home with books. So in most places (done by county) you can sign up for "The Imagination Library" and she will send each child in your home an age-appropriate book every month until they are in Kindergarten. The books are so awesome and Tyson really believes she sends them personally to him! So at the end of the show when Dolly sang a patriotic song on a big screen, he stared in awe! Now he tells me he went to Dolly's house! Ha!
In addition to all that fun...a mountain trip would not be complete without a camp fire and smores!
These two loved their bunk together and spent lots of time reading, playing with flashlights/lanterns, and giggling!
We had great family time!
