We had a "dress rehearsal" for Halloween. We are being "favorite Disney characters"...
(Thank goodness we got a pic with Spookly--he is no longer with us!)
And tonight...Prince Charming will arrive at our house!

Sweet as Pumpkin Pie
My sweet baby girl just steals my heart everyday. She is so animated and imaginative. We already have so much fun together. She loves to play pretend (you be a baby, I'll be a mommy...or kitty, puppy, daddy, princess and the list goes on). She likes to paint her "ping-nails" and play dress up, but also really likes to run fast, play in dirt, drive trucks and build blocks. She is so so proud of her curtsy and dance class songs, which of course, makes her mommy so happy. Juel Smith has her daddy wrapped around her little finger and can not be resisted by Gee! Tyson loves and protects her (he gets very mad if Juel gets in trouble). I love that she likes teeny things. She always chooses the smallest item when given a choice. In Juel language "Me want a teeny one"! (We are working on the personal pronouns---she told me the other day "Mommy guess what. Me want to tell you someping. Us have one dog aaaand one teeny kitty." The teacher in me knows that we need to fix it, but it is oh so cute to me!
Curtsy for her pumpkin!
Glorious Weekends!
In the fall I just get so enthralled in weekend fun. This weekend we just soaked it in! Friday night we took a walk to Gee's house for baking cookies and a popcorn party. Juel spent the night with her, while Tyson and I had a slumber party in my bed watching Toy Story of Terror (so cute). Saturday morning we helped with an event at church, then met my cousin Matt and his little girl Alice over at Belinda's Pumpkin Patch. Each year she hosts a fun little day at the pumpkin farm. Her son Brad was my dear friend in high school. He was there with his wife. I have not seen him in YEARS so it was so fun catching up. Allen was there with Emerson and Mitchell and so was another great friend Adam and his wife Kristen with their little fellow. It was like a little class reunion, without my BFF Crystal (who had to work). It seems like we are so often rushing from one thing to the next. This time, we did not rush. We just had all of the fun we could possibly have. It was just great. That night I ran errands all by myself (oh how my Saturday nights of fun have changed). Sunday morning we had a nice service at church, followed by pumpkin carving with Grandma Raye! Mom and I did a little shopping. That night everyone had fun riding bikes until it was dark---truly soaking in every minute!
Of all the pumpkins in the patch...Tyson immediately spotted...
Spookly the Square Pumpkin
(If you haven't read it, it is a great kids book about accepting everyone.)
This "square" pumpkin was nearly rotten, but it HAD to come with us!
Sweet Alice with her daddy!
Emerson found a lemon!
Look at Juel's face! She was not happy about sharing Grandma!
So much to do! They also had pumpkin painting, face paint, lots of food!
Thank you Mrs. Belinda for so much fun!!
Poof! It's time for church!
Running for more fun!!!
Carving Spookly!
What a sight!!
Tyson loves riding this bike! I think these training wheels will soon be gone!
A family photo with our "happy" jack-o-lantern!
