Happy Royal Wedding Day
I had to interrupt the Easter posts (ya'll I'm sorry there are so many) to post this cute picture of my "little princess" on April 29, 2011, as Kate Middleton became a real life princess when she married Prince William. I can't help it or hide it...I loved the wedding! Mom and I woke at 5:30 to watch...my heart was beating like I was there (as I sat in my mismatched pajamas and glasses). Truly though, it was wonderful to see the happy seeming couple. I hope they can be a great inspiration to the world about the beauty and sanctity of marriage. I love how they took their vows then had a worship service. It was perhaps a chance for 2 billion people to hear the Word! Although I am quite certain I will never meet them, I said a prayer for the newly wed Royals. What a fun day!

Soaking Her In
Often these days Grandma's warm, memory-filled kitchen is filled with people who love her, who just want to soak in the joy of her sweet spirit. Sometimes it seems like a small space for lots of chaos, but we are all treasuring each moment.
This past weekend Aunt Millie, the youngest sister, came to spend a few nights with Grandma, the oldest sibling. We really enjoyed having her with us. I tape recorded a few conversations of reminiscing between the sisters. We laughed, we cried, we prayed.
On Sunday, Aunt Tillie, the twin, came to join her sisters. She brought her granddaughters Leigh Ann and Laura. Aunt Benda, who was married to Grandma's brother Kirby and her friend Tom brought a lovely dinner (That's what you eat at noon at Grandma's house). Grandma's children, some grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were also in and out. It was a day of just soaking her in!
