Sunflower Sunday

Making Memories!

My step-sister Amber and I have loved each other for so long, really since the day we met. After daddy died we have not seen each other very often simply due to busy schedules, not lack of desire! We have missed each other and decided a reunion was in order. As children we LOVED beach trips to Atlantic Beach with Dad and Diane. We decided we would take the children down for an over-night stay...so at 6:30 a.m. we loaded up Amber's car with more stuff that you can imagne and headed east! It was seriously so much fun my sides ache from laughing! I think I have been a little depressed since returning home because it made me remember how much I love being with Amber and her children, Jackson and Carlie that I love SO much! They are growing up so fast and I feel like I have missed it! Watching all four of our children together was just what I have wanted for so long. Daddy would have loved it too!
You just can't imagine how much stuff we had just for this little trip! We even had to use the turtle shell on top of the car! Amber and I were a sight trying to load and unload all of our stuff and all of our children! It was a lot of work to have a lot of fun...worth every second!

Baby Girl hung in there with us! Aunt Amber loves to kiss babies!

These three were like peas in a pod!

Juel was happy in her tent the first day...day two, not so much!

Beach Book from Aunt Amber! Tyson got a "dig dig" (big shovel) and loved it!

Eating out in Morehead at the Sanitary! We all got T-shirts too!

I love these two!

We could not even stop laughing to take a picture!

Off to Beaufort to get fudge at the famous "Fudge Factory"!

Tyson was just smitten with Jackson!
Carlie was great at taking care of a real live baby doll!

We put the kiddos to sleep in the main room while Amber and I stayed up til 2:30 in the morning (remember our departure time at 6:30--have mercy) laughing and reminiscing!
Before our years of meeting boys down at the circle, Amber and I loved to pretend to be mommies at the beach! We would sit in our chairs dreaming of our future husbands and children! (By the way we thought life was tough then when it was a little too hot as we sat in the chairs for hours uninterrupted...now we were lucky to have a five minute stretch before someone was needing something!) It was a very sweet day however watching our very own children play together!

Museum (late post)

Way back during the Spring, Travis and I took the children along with a sweet friend of ours, Emerson, to the Museum of Life and Science. It was a blast. I recently found these pictures on my small camera and realized I forgot to post them. (I also can't figure out how to turn them for some reason.)
Excited to be there!

Butterfly Release

Emerson was amazed!

She is such as precious and pretty little girl!

She was thrilled to show the butterfly to Tyson and Juel.

Baby Girl and the Butterfly

Daddy caught one too!

Mommy and Tyson! I had taken our second grade class to the museum a few weeks prior and just knew Tyson would love it!

He was happy to have lots of attention!
