"Carving" the Cutest Pumpkin

Can you tell I love the fall season and my sweet boy?

6 Months Old

Where does time go? It seems like yesterday Tyson was 6 weeks, or even just 6 weeks old! He is now 6 months old, and we are having so much fun! I remember telling friends that I just could not imagine him getting older and that I wanted him to stay tiny. They told me that each stage would be more fun than the previous and now I agree! Who knew that a little baby boy could be more entertaining than anything I have ever seen!

His development is so facinating to us! He can roll like a steamroller all over the house. He is beginning to talk (da da da-- what about ma ma???) We enjoy taking walks and going everywhere together (he is an excellent shopper). Tyson likes going to the nursery at church and all of the ladies love him. It is amazing to me that he is already enthralled with football. He sits at Travis's games and squeals with delight! He continues to be an "easy" baby. He sleeps for about 9 hours a night in his crib and is generally happy wherever we go. He likes to sit in his swing, play in the exersaucer, roll around on a quilt, or hang out in the jump-a-roo! He loves to eat rice cereal and babie veggies/fruits. I am continuing to breastfeed and still really love it. He LOVES to take a bath (just like his mom)! We bathe him in the big tub with about 2 inches of water. He screams and laughes while he splashes and rolls! Mom (grandma) is such a great help and Tyson just loves her! He lights up when she walks into the room!

His six month doctor's appointment result indicated a healthy boy. He weighed 17.9 pounds and was 28 inches long. Shortly after this appointment he did have his first ear infection...it was quite sad! He has recovered and we hope to avoid that in the future. I never realized how much it would hurt me to see my child hurting! It made me feel so thankful for a healthy baby. I thought about parents that have to see their children in the hospital facing serious illnesses. Our family is truly blessed!

Last year at this time I was pregnant. We knew that we would have a baby boy, but we had no idea how our lives were going to change! I am completely in love and enthralled with my sweet SIX MONTH OLD baby boy! They say that he will be even more fun as he continues to grow...right now I just can't imagine it!!!:)

Welcome Baby MacKenzie

Our dear friends Cynthia and Jody Putnam welcomed their baby girl, Mackenzie Lee, on September 24 (wow I am late posting this)! Travis and I met at their wedding and Cynthia is "summer" of the seasons friends! She is the "toughest" of our group...so we think it is just hilarious that all of the other girls have baby boys and she got the girl!!! Mackenzie is going to come to "priss" camp at Aunt LaLa's house every summer! I love you BIGS! Yay for PINK!!!!!
