Pool Time!

Tyson loves his new pool that Grandma Raye gave him for his birthday! (He may kill his mommy one day for these pictures...but seriously look at those sweet butter beans! I LOVE IT! And I promise to never show these to new girlfriend...wait I can't bear to think about future girlfriends!)
I can't wait for the Alford's pool to warm up so he can try it out this year. I have a feeling Shannon is going to have all the excitement her heart desires!!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was very special as we enjoyed a great day with family. The day began with Travis cooking breakfast (a big surprising treat)! We enjoyed a nice service at church. I always feel so happy to be on the pew with my mom and grandma. After church we had lunch at Grandma Juel's house with mom and her brothers. Next...I had a wondeful afternoon nap and recieved gifts and sweet cards from Travis, Tyson, my mom and Michael (he came over the night before to cook for mom). Later that evening we went to Aunt Pat's house for homemade icecream to celebrate with Grandma Raye. My boys (including Ralph) made me feel special all day!

Triplets!!!

Caleb
Andrew
James

"COUSINS"

"Wow mom, look at all these babies!"

Travis's cousing Tori has TRIPLETS (that's THREE BABIES)! We had the chance to visit them and I have not gotten over it yet! They are just amazing! THREE BABIES! Tori and her husband Ray are doing a great job managing their little family! We really enjoyed spending time with them and with Tori's sisters- Angie, her sweet daughter Jada, and Shellie and her pretty girls Anna Kate and Marcie. And I repeat...THREE BABIES!

Please keep the Billings Triplets in your prayers as they still face challenges.

Visiting SC

Travis, Tyson and I enjoyed a little family trip to South Carolina. We went for his uncle's funeral, but also as a chance to visit family we have not seen in a while. Jeff met us there and we spent the night with Wanda (Travis's stepmom) at the lake. Tyson was captivated by the water and desperately wanted to get in. We also really enjoyed seeing the 'Smith Girl' cousins, Angie, Shellie and Tori (more to come on this family soon!) They are so beautiful, inside and out! We stopped by to visit Grandma on the way home! It was a nice get-away together!

First Hair Cut

Along with his rapidly growing body (he is now weighing 23 pounds and is 321/2 inches long), Tyson's hair is also growing quickly! He had developed a bit of a mullet, so it was time for his first hair cut! We took him over to Janice's beauty shop. She is a dear friend from church, who probably gave me my first hair cut and definately gave me my first (and only) perm! Woah 1980s! Janice was so sweet and we all enjoyed the cut! He looks like a little boy now!

Tyson's A Toddler!!

Sweet Gabriel has always called Tyson "Baby Tyson." At his birthday party, Cedric told Gabby that Tyson's not a baby anymore....much to my dismay! Gabriel started saying "Tyson's a Toddler!" over and over! It was really cute and I guess it is really true...although he will always be his mommy's baby!
(He is very good at walking now...very good and very FAST! He can get into anything. When he enters a new place he immediately scans the area to find the most dangerous situation or breakable thing he can reach! For example, a week ago he drank from a bottle of peroxide...great parenting moment! Notice in the picture he is carrying a jar of vapor rub and his head is covered in bruises. Yes, Gabriel, Tyson IS a toddler!)
