Happy Father's Day

Travis has been such a supportive and wonderful husband in the last 2 weeks. We have been really busy- last days of school, dance recital week, directing VBS, and planning for Disney! He has taken extra good care of the children and helped when needed. Father's Day was not exactly a celebration for him all day--decorating the church, cutting grass (yes I know on Sunday), and taking care of the kids. We did manage to go out to dinner late that night. Wife of the year has not even given him his card yet! He deserves more, but does not expect it!
He says this is all he needs:

And to top it off...he is going to crossfit every morning at 6:00 a.m., then to football practice, then to work at Camp Kanata, then straight to VBS..

Well At Least

I have a cute photo! Although our T-ball skills have not drastically improved-just look at this!!

Blessed Walkers!

Mom's little team walked in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this weekend. It is amazing to think that a year ago mama had no hair and was finishing chemo! Now we can't even remember what which type of breast cancer she had. We are so blessed. Many women are not so lucky. We saw lots of families walking in remembrance of a loved one or pushing very sick patients across the finish line. How lucky we were to walk with our healthy survivor!! In this year another lady dear to me was faced with the challenge, Aunt Karen has also done remarkable and is now cancer free!  It is because of the efforts of many wonderful people such as those who organize this event that breast cancer is such a treatable disease and hopefully one day will be eliminated totally.

The event is huge (definitely a woman's disease right Miss Kim??!!) you have to take busses to the starting line.

Leigh Ann was happy to show Juel the gate to Meredith College!! Future Angel??

Juel was very entertained by this little lipstick key chain and put it on for at least an hour!!

I love my mama! We hope that next year we will have a large team for
 "Rhonda's Rocketts-Kicking Cancer!!"

Here Comes the Bride

My younger cousin Sarah got married this weekend at the Umstead in Cary. It was a beautiful and very fun wedding! Congratulations to Sarah and Michael!

Mom and I went down to the ceremony while Travis kept the kids up in Uncle Jerry's room.

They were so excited to see Uncle Mike

Gorgeous Venue!

I liked the bridesmaids dresses...and the look on Allison's face when she spotted Michael's bow tie!

The kids only stayed long enough to see everyone then went to spend the night with Amber. They were so excited and had a great time.

Following a cocktail hour on the terrace we were escorted inside the ballroom for a reception dinner.

Uncle Jerry gave a welcome speech. I was caught off guard by how much his voice sounds like my daddy's. It made me remember my own wedding and daddy's toast. Tears started flowing uncontrollably. He would have enjoyed this wedding!

Alice had a pretty little dress for the wedding, but then changed into her pjs. I love this picture of her watching her aunt dance with her grandpa.

This looks like a troubling meeting of the minds!
