Leigh Ann, Shannon, and Kim Alford...our 'sisters'The Party...

I did not realize how much fun a birthday party...for someone who will not remember it...can be! I cannot even explain how much I loved Tyson's party! I felt so blessed to have our family and friends share this celebration marking the best day of my life (April 10, 2009)! Travis smiled all day too!
After our guests arrived, Tyson (ha ha ha "I") opened the presents. We decided to do this first, before the cake, to avoid an outfit change. Although I am sure he liked the gifts, Tyson really LOVED the wrapping paper and boxes! Next we sang "Happy Birthday" to our sweet boy (I will not lie...I almost cried!) and gave him his own cake. We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of fun with our closest friends and family.

Lots of Memories!
I am going to show everyone at my party that I can walk!
An early present from Aunt Brianne!
Miss Shannon came to help us decorate! On Tyson's "Birthday Eve" I had so so much fun decorating and preparing for his party. I really enjoyed a week of reminiscing about his first year. Part of the party decorations included lots of pictures and keepsakes. My friend Jessica made cute frames for our mantle for pictures from birth to 11 months. Mom made a beautiful quilted banner that we hope to use every year. Travis worked so so hard (on his spring break) all week making our yard look great. It was such a special time getting ready to celebrate our boy's birth!
