Go to the Beach!

Ever since our last trip to the beach Tyson has begged to return. Amber and I took the kids last year overnight and wanted to do it again this year. Aunt Tillie's place was open M-F of last week so off we went! It was a complete blast! My sides still hurt from laughing so much!

July 4th

For the second year in a row I met several high school friends in Wake Forest on July 4th. This year we decided to join in the children's parade. It was super HOT, but also super cute and fun! Mom and Shannon came with me...they both thought we were watching a parade, not walking in a parade oops! Although it was extremely hot, we had a good time and I hope it has become a tradition.

Coutney and I had on the same dress! Funny moment: Courtney is a very sweet, wholesome, natural "organic" girl! Well, I decided to bring little waterguns for all of the kids. As I passed them out, I handed one to Courtney and she said, "Well Laura Beth Berkley has never seen one of these." I busted out laughing and told her that I considered bringing him a McDs biscuit as well. Ha! She told Berk it was a water squirter--no harm done. Then we all laughed about hiding our snacks and capri suns from her. Karen said she tried to teach Taylor how to say "or-gan-ic" on the way over! LOL!

It was so hot that the kiddos decided to run in the neighborhood sprinklers!

However, Emerson did not refuse! She was so excited to march in the parade. She waved the entire time. It made my heart so proud! I see a dance parade in her future! HA HA

Tyson all of a sudden began swimming without his swimmies on! I mean--for real swimming! He will jump off the diving board and swim to the ladder!
