The Fair!
This year Amber and I decided to take the kids to the fair together. Of course they were all excited! Amber and I were glad to spend time together and it also brought memories of lots of fair trips when we were young! We laughed thinking about all of the fun we had...including having buttons made in photo booths and air-brushed t-shirts, riding the "himalaya" til we were dizzy, Michael playing games to win ridiculously huge stuffed animals, buying feathers for our hair, and eating from our traditional vendors: Cary United Methodist Church ham biscuits, Al's French Fries, Mini Donuts, funnel cake, and cotton candy/candy apples--all of which we had this time too! We like to imagine the fun we would have had with Dad at the fair!
