A Christmas Miracle

This happened! Tyson has forever been terrified of Santa. Much to my picture-loving heart's dismay he has refused to take a picture with him. He is really very shy and in general does not like any attention on himself. Talking to the big guy has just been out of the question. This year, before the subject was even mentioned, Tyson told Travis that he planned to write Santa a note and hand it to him. That was all. He would not be talking to him. But, hey--that is a step in the right direction, right? Well after the party last night we stopped by a local light show (Norris Creek) just for fun. At the end we saw Santa waiting for us (with no line and no audience). Tyson bravely decided to take his note (that we wrote in haste on a torn paper).

 Then he sat down...

 Nervous face...

 Starting to smile...

 And even holding his hand!

 Then who could believe it...a hug!!

Such a proud boy!!
