We were so lucky to get to go to AB for the Seafood Festival this past weekend. Thanks to my job-share partner I was able to switch around days so that I was off for 5 in a row. After school last Wednesday I headed out with just my babies. It was the first time I have traveled alone with them. I loved it so much. We had stunning weather and a peaceful (uncrowded- is that even a word?) beach that seemed to be all ours. It was so surprising to have such warm temperatures. It felt like a summer day, but with a cool breeze. Perfection! We were also surprised to see a little friend, Ava, who we have seen on several trips for the past 3 years. She and Tyson love to play together and many have asked if they are twins (blonde hair, blue eyes, equal heights and same spunk!) We slept late then spent all day on the beach followed by simple meals in the condo and Disney movies all night. Mom and Travis came down late Friday night to join us. We spent Saturday at the festival, which was lots of fun but downright HOT! Sunday was another perfect beach day. Mom and I stayed until Monday afternoon. The only damper to the weekend-well two: Tyson got a bad virus. He would seem fine in the day, but then throw up a lot at night. Kids in his preschool class have had rotavirus, which can last for 10 days. He is just now feeling better. We also had to miss sweet Mitchell's 2nd birthday party, which was of course outstanding! But what can we say...we have salt water in our veins! And you know the drill...lots of pictures to follow!
Headed to the Seafood Festival:
(First carousel ride all alone...little nervous-raised shoulders and frown.)
Proud!
Riding with Ava
Mom does not understand but I just love pictures of my little ones from behind...cute little shirt and look at the bouncy curls!
Exhausted after playing all day!
