I wanted to give an update on sweet little Mitchell. At Emerson's party I noticed that he was definitely watching the children play. His eyes followed Juel when she would run around him. Crystal told me that they were certain he was tracking and had light sensitivity. Well that next week he was scheduled to see his pediatric eye specialist at UNC. Sure enough...his vision in his 'good' eye was measuring in the normal range for his age! Can ya'll believe that? Crystal and Allen went from being told he could have an infectious disease, was cortically (and irreversibly) blind, to the possibility of cancer to now...he has vision in his right eye! It is an absolute miracle and even his doctors are surprised. God is amazing and Crystal and Allen truly believe the power of prayer helped their little one. Please continue to pray for his development as there may be some difficulties, but overall please give God some praise for the awesome gift of sight!
